Who owns the crypto assets in my New Market Trading account?
You do, and New Market Trading never takes custody of your assets. When you deposit, your assets go into your own Safe. They don't go into a wallet of ours or into a fund shared with other clients. Your positions are held in your Safe, assets from closed positions come back into it, and when you leave there is nothing to redeem.
A Safe is a smart account: a program on the blockchain, with no private key of its own. Its rules set which wallets control it and how many of them must sign. You can give others limited permissions to act inside it. The Safe smart contract comes from a separate company, Safe.Global. Safe.Global's contracts have been in use for many years.
Your Safe is also set up as a multisig, short for "multi-signature". It has three keys, and a key is what approves a transaction, much like your signature on a bank transfer. You hold two of the keys, your main key and a backup key, and your Associate, the person at New Market Trading who looks after your account, holds the third. Sending assets from your Safe to another wallet, or changing who owns it, needs two of the three keys, so no single key can do it alone.
Every transaction in your Safe is recorded on the public blockchain, and anyone can see it on a block explorer, a public website that lists blockchain transactions. You can also access your Safe at app.safe.global without having to use our platform.
What can New Market Trading's team do in my account?
Our team can only take approved actions, in apps on our approved list, through permissions you sign for. By apps, we mean the lending, trading and savings services that run on the blockchain, and the bridges that move assets between networks.
Our team can:
Put your assets into approved lending, savings and trading-pool positions.
Take them back out into your account.
Swap one approved asset for another.
Collect the fees and rewards your positions earn, which go into your account.
Let an approved app use the assets these actions need.
Move assets between blockchain networks through an approved bridge.
Our team cannot:
Send your assets to another wallet through our platform.
Change who owns your account.
Give itself permissions you haven't signed for.
Use apps or assets that aren't on our approved list.
You approve these permissions with your own signature. Only you can give them, and you can take them away yourself. Our team then makes routine moves without asking you to sign each one. Your Associate, the named person who looks after your account, works through these permissions.
The contracts that control what our team can do check every app and asset our team asks to use against our approved list, and refuse anything that is not on it. Our research team reviews each new asset or trading pool before it goes on the list, and each addition has to be approved by several separate people before it takes effect.
Can New Market Trading withdraw or move my crypto assets?
Our platform doesn't let our team send your assets to another wallet.
When our team closes a position, the assets come back into your Safe. None of our team's permissions lets it change who owns your account.
Because your Safe is a multisig, sending assets to another wallet needs two of its three keys to approve it. You hold two of the keys and your Associate holds the third, so your Associate can't move your assets out alone.
Can I withdraw my assets or remove New Market Trading's access at any time?
Yes, you can withdraw your assets or remove our team's access yourself. Only you can give our team permissions, and you can take them away any day. You can also cancel your subscription, and our fee will stop. Because your Safe is a multisig, your own two keys are also enough to replace your Associate's key, without our help. There is no lockup and no exit process to negotiate, because we never hold your money in the first place.
What happens to my crypto assets if New Market Trading stops operating?
Your assets stay where they are, in your own account on the blockchain, because they were never on our books. They are not in a fund or in an account in New Market Trading's name, so if we stopped operating there would be nothing for us to hand back.
Anyone can still look your account up on a block explorer, a public website that lists blockchain transactions. You can also still access your Safe at app.safe.global without the need to use our platform.
What happens if I lose my keys or my login?
Your Safe is a multisig with three keys: your main key, a backup key that you also keep, and a key held by your Associate. By default, your main key sits in a wallet our platform creates for you, which you open with your login. When your account is set up, your Associate has you save your own copy of that key, so you can reach your Safe without our platform.
Because any two of the three keys can approve a change, losing one key doesn't lock you out: if you lose one key, or your login, the other two can replace it. If two of the three keys are lost, you lose access to your Safe, so keep your backup key somewhere separate from your main one.
We will never ask for your private keys, your seed phrase (the list of words that can restore a wallet) or any other recovery details. Any message claiming to be from us that asks for them is fraudulent: please report it to us.
Has New Market Trading been independently audited?
The contracts that control what our team can do in your account were audited by Consensys Diligence in June 2026, and the full report is public.
Consensys Diligence reviewed those contracts from 1 to 16 June 2026 and checked our fixes in an update dated 24 June 2026. The report shows the findings, their severity, and which were fixed.
Safe's own contracts and the outside apps our team uses were not part of that review, as the report itself says.
What are the risks of investing through New Market Trading?
The main risks are falling crypto asset prices, failures in the smart contracts your account runs on, problems at outside apps, our team's choices and the safety of your keys.
Crypto asset prices go down as well as up, drawdowns in this asset class can be severe, and yields move with market conditions and are not fixed. The smart contracts your account runs on, ours, Safe's and the apps', could in principle fail, and a lending or trading app can be attacked, or can pause withdrawals, while your assets are in it.
Within its permissions, our team chooses which positions to take and which swaps to make, and a bad choice can lose value.
Thanks to the multisig, one stolen key is not enough to take your assets. Sending assets out of your Safe needs two of its three keys to approve it, so someone who stole one key still couldn't move anything out. Keep your backup key somewhere separate from your main one, so the two can't be lost or stolen together.
Is New Market Trading insured?
No, there is no insurance policy on New Market Trading (NMT) or on client accounts. NMT is not a bank, there is no FDIC or SIPC insurance, and there is no government backstop on crypto assets. Returns are not guaranteed. Investment always carries a risk of loss.
Your assets are in your own account on the blockchain, our team's access is limited to the permissions you sign for, and the audit report is public.
