Alkis Boumpoulis

Alkis Boumpoulis is a crypto-native consultant and researcher with deep experience in DeFi infrastructure, liquidity systems, and primary-market crypto assets. As an Associate at Yieldschool, he provides research context and implementation guidance to help clients apply the Crypto Native Protocol across primary-market opportunities.

Alkis’s background spans decentralized exchanges, cross-chain liquidity architecture, and token-economic design. He founded Solarbeam, a decentralized exchange and liquidity hub that became a core protocol within the Polkadot ecosystem, reaching over $350M in total value locked and more than $3B in cumulative trading volume. His work there involved protocol design, liquidity incentives, and onchain infrastructure development.

He also co-founded Chaintroopers, a blockchain security firm focused on smart-contract auditing, exploit prevention, and infrastructure monitoring across multiple ecosystems. This experience provided hands-on exposure to protocol risk, security considerations, and the operational realities of DeFi systems.

Prior to Yieldschool, Alkis worked with multiple blockchain ventures in advisory and consulting capacities, contributing to token design, cross-chain infrastructure development, and market-structure analysis. His experience spans both early-stage and mature DeFi ecosystems, offering perspective on how liquidity, incentives, and governance evolve across different networks.

Drawing from a background in commodities trading, Alkis applies a structured, macro-informed lens to primary-market research. His current areas of focus include decentralized infrastructure, AI-and-blockchain convergence, and onchain yield mechanisms. At Yieldschool, he helps clients understand these systems and implement the Crypto Native Protocol, while clients retain full control over decisions and accounts.
